Pride & Prejudice(2005)

        This movie is romantic movie. It shows us to think of people's personality again.

        In this movie, there are two main characters. The woman character is Elizabeth Bennet, who is very confidenc woman in this movie. And the man character is Mr. Darcy. He is the man who is very considerate person. However, these two people have their own "Pride" and each other's "Prejudice". This movie shows that how "Pride" and "Prejudice" are dangerous for people.

          Also, because this movie genre is romance, it could be too boring for people to see the movie. So, the Bennet's family's members are interesting. There are 5 daughters and parents in this family. I think Kitty and Lydia, who are the most playful girls, show exciting scenes in the movie.

         In addition, There are dancing scenes in the movie. I think this kinds of movie scenes are helpful for us to understand the movie's background knowledges too.

        Consequently, I'm surely recommend this movie. Becuase, although we do not love right now, we can realize that prejudice is the most dangerous thing to understand other person. So, I want you to see this movie. It's not very difficult movie that you thought.

       So, I would like to give 5 stars for this movie. Because it realized my thought about judging other people.

Kung Fu Panda

     Usually, heroes are handsome, tough and good-looking like Superman, Batman and Ironman. But Kung fu Panda, whose name is Po, is just moderate panda. It made me curious about how the story go and how that cute panda  can be the hero. In addition, actors and actress who record their voices are awesome. Jack black who was in School of rock, Angelina Jolie who do not need to explain, Jackie Chan who was really famous for real action and Lucy Liu who was one of the Charlie's Angels all join in Kung Fu Panda. That's why I couldn't help watch this movie.

     As the title said, it's about the panda who became the hero. At first, Po is just son of noodle restaurant owner. He lived a normal boring life but dreamed to be a hero. One day, accidentally he was chosen as a pre-dragon warrior who is the most powerful by Master Oogway. Po knew that was just an accident and he thought he had no talent. But the town need Dragon warrior quickly, the team of  Oogway started to train Po. In the end, like others children's animations, Po finally became hero of the town.

    Though it has traditional storyline, there are several interesting point and lesson in this movie. First, I like that CG. Some people think that it's really easy to make animation movie because they don't need to take a picture of real people ,but it's not. To make an animation realistic, sometime they need super-computer which was usually used to predict whether and solve one of the hardest math equation. And I could feel their effort to make Po just like a real panda. That was really impressing. Another interesting point are the lessons that this movie imply. There're two great conversation that I can still remember. One is the Oogway's word. " There is a saying. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift. That's why it's called the present."  It sounds like "Carpe diem" in Dead poet society. It made me think if I was enjoying my current life. The other conversation is about belief. At the end of the story the father of Po told him what was the secret ingredient of 'Secret ingredient soup noodle'. The answer was "There was no secret ingredient. To make something special, just believe it special." That's awesome. I really like that part because I can feel how powerful the belief is.

    That's Kung fu Panda which is like children's movie but there're lesson for all of us. And there're a lot of high-tech Cg work. So I want to give 5 stars for this.

Django Unchained

        This movie is an action movie about a black man, "Django" who got freedom from the bounty hunter, "Dr. King" and started to find his wife and avenge his enemies who bothered and enslaved him and his wife. This movie was directed by Quentin Tarantino and this movie awarded by 85th Academy awards.
        I saw this movie with my American roommate. This movie's background age was late 1850s-before the Civil War broke out. He explained about some historical infromation especially about slavery, I saw the movie with thinking about slavery, immorality, etc. One of the most eye-appealed scene was(sorry, I did some spoiler) a white man who was beating black woman slave with a whip. that man also has a bible on the left. I felt like, "How contradict!" as soon as I saw that scene. It was good movie to both thril and think deeper.
        So, I'll rate this movie 4.7 out of 5

Snowpiecer

Snowpiecer depicts rebellion against discrimination and suppression between social strata which is existent in the train in which survivors from a glacial epoch circle the earth once a year due to a rash measure to prevent global warming.What I'd like to talk about in this movie is about how it is composed and shows us what our society is like. Even if this movie shows us an extremely radical aspect, it contains a trope, metaphor and symbol in terms of mordern society.

Firstly, this movie points out a real-world problem. For example, this movie compares discrimination and suppression with a compartment of the train, which is called the tail. Fare-beaters have to appreciate the front people, who are the upper classes, allowing them to take the train, having to accept what is bad to them gratefully instead of expressing their disadvantageous treatment and unfairness. As you probably know, it is like the darkside of our society.

Secondly, this movie seems gloomy. However, the name of snowpiecer can mean existences falling on their feet, which mean people who try to overcome difficulties. people who belong to the tail cooperate together to proceed to engine compartment and eliminate their unfairness for the purpose of making a better life.

Lastly, adding a scene of the leaders' idea that violation and suppression is needed to maintain balance and harmony of social system, this movie can be a contradictive problem in our moral aspect because society is made to be beneficial for minor people to some extent, but, not for everyone. The reason a leader made a extreme choice which drive people to become destructive was to regulate population in the train where spaces, food and something else are not enough. To make it easier, a leader chose to make a hierarchical society which thoroughly makes many people victims to control surroundings and environment.

In this way that it resembles and is satirizing our reality, I would like to give this film 4stars out of 5 stars.

This is very romantic movie, directed by Baz Luhrmann. I watched this movie, in the theater, with my family, In Korea. He directed another romantic movie ‘Romeo and Juliet’ too. That movie and this movie has common. Because the actor is same, Leonardo Dicaprio.

I love Leonardo Dicaprio. He is very good actor. If I will marry with someone, I want to be marrying with whom like Gatsby. I saw him first time in the movie that name is “Titanic”. He is so handsome and gentle in that movie. Even though he is old now but he is still gentle. And his acting skill is more improve than before. He is actor of experience.

After I saw this movie, I want to read the book ‘The Great Gatsby' because this movie was so impressed to me, but I have not read that book yet. This movie story is so beautiful. And background of movie is so fantastic too.

In this story, Gatsby is very rich man. So he hosted an amazing party. That is because, he want to meet his X-girlfriend. But she is already married.
In korea, there are not many party. But In America I saw many party, because our roommate is American. But in the movie, the party is so huge compare to our party.
 

This movie isn’t happy ending. Gatsby is dead. And she followed her husband, not Gatsby.

I am unhappy with that sad ending. I hope they will have good relationship. But it can’t. I think Gatsby has so purity love. He give up all, money and fame, Because of her.

Ending is so sad. But I like this movie. So I want to watch this movie again. With my friends. I want to introduce this movie to everyone. It is deserve that. And I hope Gatsby will happy in the kingdom of Heaven. I’ll give 4 stars to this movie.(★★★★☆)

When I watched this movie at first time, I was just 12 years old. I had never seen spectacle movie like air force one. This movie was really interesting and I was hooked on the movie whenever I watch it.

Then, what is Air force one? That is an air plane, which is only for national president’s business. The main character, Harrison ford, is a U.S president in this movie. During national conference in Moscow, he gives a speech to Russian government officer in order to make a peace for world’s happiness and to prevent terrible terror and war. But, Fascist dictator Radec, He does not want to be peaceful like U.S president’s mind. So, U.S president decides to put him in prison. Russian officers also agree on his decision. It looks like great success.

 

However, air force one is hijacked by supporters who like Fascist dictator Radec.

As a result, many people include president’s family became hostages. Also, a number of people in air force one are died by shooting. President tries hard to escape not good circumstance by his correct judgment, brave and helps from those trusts him.

 This movie’s main character is Harrison ford who has been acting in many famous movie works by his impressive performance. Especially, the adventure movie series which named Indiana Jones are really famous. In addition Good morning everyone like romance comedy genre also is his mark movie.

This movie’s director is Wolfgang Petersen answered question why you choose Harrison ford as president. He said Harrison ford has comfortable atmosphere, but he also has tough spirit and charismatic leadership. That is why he selected him as president.

Of 5 stars, I want to give 4.5 stars to this movie. This movie’s action scenes and special effects in air scenes are not old-fashioned, when I watch it now. In addition, the movie’s plot is strong and solid. So, I really recommend my friends to watch this movie for killing time.
