It is a old disaster movie. And it shows the world is destroyed because of greenhouse effect in this movie. I think this is very early disaster film, it is published in 2004. And I watch this movie a lot of times. Everytime I watch this movie give me different feeling.
The story of the movie is not very complex. The United States climate scientists Jack Hall discovers that a huge ice sheet has sheared off in Antartica. And he thinks greenhouse effect is making the earth's catastrophe. He thinks that the melting of the arctic ice will make the earth back to the ice age and human will be died because this disaster. But the government of the United State don't believe him. As a result, hurricanes, hail, flood, ice melting, extreme cold happen all of the world. Then government of the United States announced to the world about 30 degrees north latitude, south of residents evacuated from near the equator. But in same time, Jack Hall's son, is trapped in the library of Manhattan, on fire to burn books to maintain body temperature. In the ending of the movie, Jack Hall save his son and other people in Manhattan. This movie not only describe the disaster, but also it describes the emotion between father and son.

I think it is a great movie and the effect in this movie is not bad in some early disaster movie, so I give this movie 4.0/5.0 stars.
