“Take your passion, make it happen”. That is the film tells me. I love this movie because I love dance. The film tells a simple story is that an 18 years old welder girl Alex, a dance lover, works as a part-time solo dancer at a pub in the US after day off. I believe that hold fast to dream, then you could reach the sky. She overcomes lots of difficulties. She woks on a construction plant in the daytime, and she works on a bar at night. This is an old movie about dream. I think maybe that was made in 20 years ago. Jennifer Beals was so young at that time. Alex has a dream about dance; however, she never gets professional training and any formal education that discourages her very much. The last dance at the end of the film touched me so much. The song called “what a feeling”, she express her feeling about lost her aunt.

Some times we feel so upset because we don’t know what should we do about dream. It is difficult to insist. We have a large number of excuses to give up, but it is hard to find a reason to go on. When I watched the film, I almost cry. Because I was a dancer 2 years age, I quitted my dream. I was so disappointed about myself. No matter at what age, you couldn’t give up; the dream never dies.

Cloud Atlas

Cloud Atlas is a 2012 German science fiction film which was written, produced and directed by The Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer. The film has multiple plotlines set across six different eras and is adapted from the 2004 novel Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.

This film is an exploration of impacts from individual lives to another through the past, present and future. An act of kindness can lead to a revolution centuries later. The film includes 6 little stories, which influences each other. The actors are starring different characters with the help of make-ups.

I have saw this film three times. And each time I saw this movie, it will bring me a totally new feeling both towards the story and the characters.

I do love this movie. I could find many new things when I saw it again and again. Many tiny details can tell the link between six little stories which is really funny.

Maleficent

Maleficent is a 2014 American dark fantasy film which was directed by Robert Stromberg according to the screenplay by Linda Woolverton. Angelina Jolie is starring the character Maleficent which is a villainess in Walt Disney’s 1959 film Sleeping Beauty. This story is written in the perspective of Maleficent and tells a totally different story to Sleeping Beauty.

As for me, I do love this movie. I think all the things in the world have an antithesis and people need to look to things in many different aspects. This movie tells the life of Maleficent who is a villainess in most people’s eyes but a kind godmother in princesses’ mind.

Angelina Jolie’s starring is really excellent! She is so beautiful and the make-ups in this film are good. Many details tell the audiences the lovely personalities in Maleficent. The only deficient is that the screenplay is too simple. It is suit for girls but not adults and boys.

my girl

I do not know how many times watch this touching story, I do not know how many people ask the name of the movie, but do not know what better way to get me to be able to find it. But I know how many times forgotten experience but remember, I remember it, I was touched, I also know that it is the only one that I shed a tear film. It is a so-called old film. And you must recognize young Macaulay Culkin but don't know who the cute girl is. What attracts me first is the storyline that a common girl has to face the reality that his father's love shall be shared with another woman not her mother, cause her mother had died before. Little Vada must face it and need time to receive it.

This is a very American film. I have to admit I like the style of 1990s American cinema, and people wearing high-waisted trousers and a T-shirt, very casual listening to music, a little yellowed picture, the overall atmosphere is very relaxed. I think now the real fun of American life has not much time yet. Never sympathy for the girl because she makes me feel optimistic nature even though she did not dare to face some things, she is still happy. After the end of the second half of the story began to have ups and downs. The spate of strikes, so she could not accept accident. Then burst tear point ...

Lump of sugar (yein Lee)

 

 This is the story of daughter who was grown up by father operated horse farm, and a horse that would be a best racehorse. The daughter’s mother was died as a riding accident and the daughter was grown up as loves of her father and uncle. Then, the horse that named jangkun gave birth to a baby horse and mother horse was died. Father was trying to euthanize a baby horse because baby horse did not have a mother to take care him. But, the daughter never opposed the decision. So the baby horse that had named cheondoong was grown up by the daughter. They grew up like brother and sister. The daughter had a dream that would be a great jockey but her father never allowed her dream. He was afraid that she leave him like her mother, so he sold cheondoong without daughter’s opinion. After 2 years, the daughter was but she was really difficult because of discrimination against women jockeys. Finally, she was expelled. That day, she found cheondoong in the bus, and she came back to her hometown with cheondoong. Then, the assistant professor have been found to the daughter and cheondoong, and he suggested to the daughter how about to come back to be a jockey. After she came back as a jockey, they knew the condition of chendoong. Cheondoong was sickand daughter gave up a championship. But, cheondoong wanted to give her the championship. Finally, the daughter and cheondoong were champion. After the game ended, cheondoong died in the stadium.

This movie made us think again about the pets. They just cannot speak but, they have feelings and thinking. Some people just think their pets just like a toy. They are so bad and not responsibility. I was crying the whole time watching movie. There were few comic elements. The movie is not a funny and interesting movie, it is just sad and impressed movie. Background music seems to have helped more immersive sad feeling. I was surprised to see the acting of the horse. When the horse played the dead acting, I thought that ‘Is that real horse?’ Actors in this movie was perfect. I hope that a lot of people should watch the movie of this styles.

This movie is directed by Junho Bong who is a famous Korean movie director. This movie plot is about the monster. The monster is appeared around the Han River in Seoul. This monster was made by some American military pathologists. They dumped chemicals into the Han River. So a scary monster was appeared in Han River and it killed many people. This monster kidnapped a girl who is a daughter of Gang-du who is a main character in this movie. He recognized her daughter is alive and decided to rescue her. So he and his relatives prepared for recusing his daughter and escaped from the hospital. They should receive virus test whether they infected. They had many troubles during that time. Because government offered a prize to catch this family. This movie gives me not only a thrill but also love of family. And actors in this movie acted very well. I couldn’t stay on my toes during watching movie. I recommend this movie very much.f

The cable guy

Douglas, Steven and Robin are the three main characters in this film. The cable guy, Douglas, is an electronics geek who is alternately bizarre and compassionate. Steven is a normal, straight guy in contrast with the cable guy, and has been bounced by his girlfriend, Robin, after proposing marriage. The setting is the rapid development of cable TV in America. Apparently, the cable guy in this film is the symbol of cable TV. There are many similarities between the cable guy and TV.

In the first place, the cable guy tries to cheer his friends up. He is both entertaining and helpful. A case in point is that to get Robin back to Steven, he beats up Robin’s date at the men’s room; installs free cable TV for Robin and convince her to return to Steven by inventing to her a sad story. Similarly, the cable TV offers a huge variety of shows, some of them bringing fun to the audience and others providing suggestions and help.

On another front, the cable guy feels lonely all the time and needs friends. Sometimes he insinuates into people’s life and makes friends through illegal means. And we can see the cable TV also does everything to attract a bigger audience, sometimes by deceptive advertising, and all its shows pursue higher rating. In the movie there is a montage of shows on cable TV as Steven flipped through channels at the beginning of the film, from which we know there are a huge of shows to attract audience, for example, a woman in lingerie claiming ‘I am a man’, which is so ridiculous.

In the end, the cable guy falls from the satellite dish, gets hurt badly but survive. It suggests there are strong objections to cable TV for years and many people have criticized it harshly, yet it is still alive.

To sum up, the cable guy and cable TV have many aspects in common. Both of them have good aspects and bad aspects. Just as the recurring snippets in the movie. The case is about a former movie star suspected of murdering his twin brother. Twins are commonly used as a metaphor in western art and literature. The killing therefore metaphorically suggests the struggle between the two sides of the same thing.
