     After I watched some Tim Burton movies in this movie class, I want to watch more Tim Burton movies. So I chose this movie, "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory". 

     The main character is Charlie Bucket. He lives in poverty with his family; his mother is unemployed, his father works at the factory, and even his grandfather was laid off. But one day, Willy Wonka who owns famous chocolate factory announces surprising contest. It is that he will give a chance of factory tour to five children who find the golden tickets. After the five lucky children appear, they enter the factory. However, the other four children are blind with greed, selfishness, vanity and desire for winning, except Charlie. So they yield to the temptation and end up caught in the factory.

     Finally, only Charlie become the last remaining child and Wonka congratulates him to become Wonka's heir, but Charlie refuses it. Later, Wonka and his father get back together and he allows Charlie's family to move into the factory.

     I think this movie teaches many lessons to us. First of all, it says that too much is as bad as too little. In this movie, All but Charlie fail in the contest because of their greedy. So this movie gives us important lesson. One who grasps at too much loses all. For everything, self-control and careful judgement is so important. In addition, I could see some problems of modern people. For example, the people who are luxury beyond necessity and have an obsession about awards and honors, the people who have a hedonistic lifestyle. I think, maybe, this movie tried to criticize these bad people.

     Also, I could learn about materialism and individualism through some scenes. When Charlie found the golden ticket, bystanders tried to take it away. And Willy Wonka experienced disharmony within the family, especially his father. His individualistic life began from that time. But later, he was finally reunited with his father.

     Anyway, I would like to praise the actors including Jonny depp and the five children. They acted very well in the movie, so I could immersed in the story of the movie. I also want to recommend this movie to you and watch other movies of Tim Burton. And I'd like to give it a big thumbs up.

  This movie is a kind of science fiction movie. This movie is the first influence movie made by Korean. When this movie was released, I felt scary about the movie story. So I didn't watch movie that time. The story of this movie is the appearance of the new virus. If we were influenced it, we felt really thirsty. The host control the humans brain then we would be drown in the water.

 Actually, the name of this virus is Gordius aquaticus. It is a kind of parasite. But someone who are doctor's degree people said it could be influenced to human. I agree with this thought. I think this story was possible. Recently, there are a lot of new viruses are coming. For instance, in 2009 , in Korea, the novel influenza emerged and it was so serious problem that time.

 Also , the first influence started in the water. After I watched this movie, I didn't want to go to sea. If this disaster happen, it will be terrible. I don't want to imagine about it. In this movie, the reason of emerged virus was the company which wanted to sell the vaccine. Because of the vicious company , a lot of people could be died.

  I hope like this happen will not generate. If the new virus is coming , the problem will be serious. Because virus does not have vaccine. If that virus is strong influence then a lot of people can be died. This movie remind to human the dangerous of virus.

 I give three stars to this movie. I recommend this movie to someone who don't know the serious of the new virus. It will help them to know about the dangerous virus.

Frankenweenie

 “Frankenweenie” is a stop-motion animated horror comedy film in black and white scene which produced by Disney and directed by Tim Burton in 2012. This movie is a remake from Tim Burton’s short film in 1984 which also named “Frankenweenie”.

     In this movie, the little boy Victor lost his dog Sparky in a car accident. He was very sad and decided to use the method of electric shock which he learned from the biology class to make Sparky resurging. In a violent thunderstorm night, Victor made his dream come true, Sparky was hit by lightning and than revived. However, Victor’s classmate Edgar found Sparky’s resurgence and threatened Victor to show him the experiment. After that other classmates known the Victor’s secret and they also discovered Victor's reanimation formula. By using the formula, these classmates all made some dead animals revived, but some of these animals turn into horrible monsters. These monsters are out of control and attack the residents in the town. The Mayor's niece Elsa’s poodle Persephone was took by Mr. Whiskers a vampire cat monster and carried to the town windmill. Victor and Elsa follow them to the windmill, other people in the town also holding the torch and ran to the windmill. The angry Mayor burnt the windmill by accident, while Victor and Sparky run into the burning windmill to rescue Elsa and Persephone. Finally, Elsa and Persephone were saved, and Spark dragged unconscious Victor out do the windmill, but it was dead in the fire by fighting with Mr. Whiskers. People were all moved by Spark and contributed their auto battery to revive it. In the end of the story, Spark revived again and gave audiences a happy ending.

     In Tim Burton’s movies, they always include the gothic gloomy tone which makes his stories displayed the feelings of sad and weird, but after you watched them and think about them, you will find that Tim Burton has actually fabricated some innocent and warm dream to us. I myself very enjoy to this movie, because this story is touched me and the vintage image make me back to my childhood. Also the music in this movie is awesome. They are composed by Danny Elfman who has been collaborating with Tim Burton for more than 10 years. Danny’s music always gave me the feelings as odd and gloomy, but also fantastic and beautiful.  I would like to give this movie it 5 stars!

Pride and Prejudice (2005)

The movie I have seen recently is Pride and Prejudice released in 2005. The reason why I saw this movie is that a few days ago, suddenly it occurred to me. Actually, when I was a freshman in 2011, I was in an English play club and performed a play with this movie in English as an actress of Jane, the first daughter.

 

This movie, Pride and Prejudice, is a British romantic movie and based on the novel written by Jane Austen. The main story of this movie is about love between the main characters, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.

 

Elizabeth, the second daughter of the Bennet family, is a beautiful, intelligent and confident woman and believes that marriage should be done by two people who love each other. Mr. Darcy is a man of richness and reputation and lives in a mansion in a rural area in which the Bennet family live.

 

It is a party that they met at the first time and they were attracted to each other. Since then, several events have happened to them. However, there are some obstacles, pride and prejudice in front of Elizabeth and Darcy and the obstacles make Elizabeth and Darcy confirm their minds.

I like this movie so much because when I was watching this movie, it made me wonder how this movie would show 'pride' and 'prejudice' through the main characters, Elizabeth and Darcy. Moreover, I wondered how they would overcome their pride and prejudice so I could become engrossed. If others watch this film, I am sure that they also can concentrate on this movie as what I did. After that, they will find out that this film is so attractive that they will watch this movie again.

 

Also, I like this movie because I can see lots of characters in this movie besides Elizabeth and Darcy and they show realism at that time very well. For example, Mrs. Bennet, Elizabeth's mother, tried to make her daughters get married to rich men and this is the only hope in her life. In addition, Elizabeth's younger sisters tried to meet nice and rich men to be their wives.

 

In conclusion, I want to recommend this movie to others for these reasons I said. I will give 5 starts to this movie, Pride and Prejudice.

Now You See Me

This story is about magical defrauder. One day, someone called the four magicians together in the secret room. After then, they start the biggest magic show in the world by order of that man who gathers them. In the show, they show their audience that an audience steals enormous money in the bank. It looks like just magic show, but in here, there are many tricks. Because of this show, they get more popularity. And they start to commit more daring crimes by showing magic. But finally, there is amazing reverse in this movie. Who is someone that calls them together? And why do they commit bold crimes? What is the purpose? It depends on your watch. Come closer.

     In this movie, I can see many famous actors who are really good. Morgan Freeman is most familiar for me. But David John Franco who was casted to Jack Wilder attracted me using his lovely smile. And the four great magician’s act is splendid. All of them are actors who rely on their acting skills. I thought they are real magician, so I really get deceived by them. Originally, my favorite genre is science-fiction, but this movie became one of the best movies. If you see this movie, you can be amazing by magnificent view. And if you are interested in magic, I really want to recommend this movie. Although I don’t have much interest in magic, I really get curiosity through this movie! I rate this movie 4 of 5 stars.

RED 2(2013)

  The Movie 'Red 2' is a action movie releasd in 2013. The retired agent Frank was living ordinarily with her wife, Sarah. But due to his freiend's death, he restarted his global quest. This made all elite agents of the world to meet again. They go to France, England, and Russia to find the forgotten portable nuclear device, and avoid the attacks from American, British, and Russian special agents. They finally find the device but, Bailey betrayed them fled with US agents. However, thanks to Frank's fellows and their outstanding performance they saved the day.

  All of actors and actresses were old but, their performance was very outstanding. What's more interesting is, this movie also has some archetypes, but this movie broke many archetypes by putting some betrayals or negotationg. And what was funny, While I was watching, I could see some PPLs and I couldn't but laugh, Because the PPLs I saw were Pringles-the famous potato chip- and Papa Jones Pizza.

 

I want to give 4.5 stars out of 5 to this moive!

Hotel Rwanda(2004)

       The movie "Hotel Rwanda" background is a true story about a man. The man whose name is 'Paul Rusesabagina' saved 1,268 African lives. This movie makes me think a lot of things about Black and White people. It also makes me think about species conflict.

       The period of this movie is 1994, and there are some tiny conflicts between 'Hutu' and 'Tutsi'. Although they are all Black people, they fight each other. Because of the Belgium, this conflict become serious and the 'Tutsi' starts to kill the 'Hutu'. It can be hard to understand because they are all black people, and most people think that Blacks are the same. However, it's not true in this movie.

 

       Meanwhile, nevertheless the main character of this movie is 'Hutu', he protects the 'Tutsi' by using his personal realationships. What I was very shocked was the conversation between Colonel Oliver and Paul. Oliver said, "Becuase you are Black, we never mind who dies." It shows the ignorance and discrimination about Black people. However, Paul overcome his difficulties by his judgement.

 

       By the way, when I saw this movie, I thought that "Hotel Rwanda" was very similar to our country, Korea. Because we had the war each other, killed each other, and now we have another country. In addition, the background of conflict was similar too. In the movie, 'Belgium' was the root of the conflict. In Korea, 'America' and 'Russia' was the root of the conflict. Don't you think it is too similar? When you see this movie, you probably think the same as me.

 

       In conclusion, the movie "Hotel Rwanda" makes people think more seriously about the discrimination and species conflict. It also makes us think about the hatred. Even though, they killed many people each other, the cause of this conflict was very tiny thing. When people understand more than they were thinking, It can't be developed by the tragedy. Therefore, I give 5 stars for this movie.

Dark Knight Rises (2012)

  What is your favorite hero? Super man? Spider man? Or Iron man?

There are many popular hero in movie world. My favorite hero is Batman.
<Dark knight> movie is very famous of Batman series. And this movie, <Dark knight rises>, is last movie of this series.

  After fighting with Joker, Batman disappeared from world. But 8 years later, Vain, a brutal evil, appears to the peaceful Godam city. Godam had rejected Batman because of his power, Batman is confused. Fight or just stare at. Finally, Batman fights with Vain to rescue the Godam city.

   
This movie show splendid action scene, but can be look so boring because synopsis is typical hero story. But director, Christopher Nolan, direct the fear of death. That is very interesting feature.

  In movie, Batman doesn’t fear the death.. Not afraid of death makes Batman weakly. And converse, this means he will be strong when he afraid of death. In fact, I’m moved by this line, rather than action scenes, ‘Be afraid of the death!’ And I feel that all of thing of movie was boiled down by this line. Not afraid of the death is not awake life. If he was afraid of death to confront in the future, these measures being to the ending to Batman decides to go. In this part, I can see director of the philosophical notions. We'll know the meaning of life when we fear the death, distinguish good and evil, and can find legitimacy to defeat evil.  

  Not only shows splashy trite movie, competence of direct is great that how he think and describe death. Perfect!

Mulan(1998)

 

    This movie is an animation movie that released in 1998. I like this genre movie. So I really enjoyed this movie. At first I saw this movie in my class when I was middle school student. I thought it is childish movie. But it wasn't. It was so funny and had interesting story. Unlike the other animation, this movie based on historical fact in china. It is not only for children but also for adults too.

    This is Disney animated film. This is musical action, comedy, and dram film. A background of a Mulan is China. In this movie, a girl named Mulan is a girl. Mulan pretended to be a man instead of a girl. And she went out house instead of  hurted father. she is so beautiful and brave woman. I like her character. Most of the Disney films has the anmial supporting role appeared. It makes movie more fun. The dragon scenes were very fun. Also, musical of the movie is the one of the pleasures. There sounds is so awesome! I really like their voice.

    When I saw this movie at first time, I was very impressed. because  Mulan is confident women.  In those days, woman is not powerful. so woman is always in the room, just makeup and decorate themself. Mulan is different from them. I want to be an woman like Mulan. She is so cool.

    She went to the army instead of sick father, and fight enemies and win. Could I would do? I don't know exactly. maybe I can't. but she did that. I can't forget the last scene. She is praised by all audience, even though she is an woman not man. I give this movie 5 of 5. When I have free time, I would like to watch it again.

Ted (2012)

This movie is good for stress relief because we couldn't help but laugh throughout the movie. We can watch this movie with a light heart. It is not only comical but also touching at the end like Andy & Woody in Toy story. This is just like a fairy tale for adults. It makes me think about a lifelong friendship and growing up. The main character had a lot of problem between the girl friend and the old-close friend Ted. But, if we were he, we might give up the girl friend instead of the old friend because of his charms. He has a great sense of humor and duty. The sense makes his faults –such as his plump body and a husky voice by alcohol- lovely. I also want a friend like Ted.

 

Ted begins with a fantastic factor like a fairy tale. An outcast boy, who didn’t get along with other friends, John received a teddy bear as a Christmas gift. The boy likes Ted, and he made a wish upon a star that Ted could speak like people. Like fairy tales, Ted would be able to do anything like people! And, their indestructible relationship has started since that moment. Through most of their childhood, they were together, and they share their life after they became adults. However, John’s girlfriend was displeased at John’s friend. She felt he was still young as he got along with his teddy bear. John tried to reduce time bonding with Ted, but it wasn’t easy. Meanwhile, he suffered conflicts between his girlfriend and Ted. The story tells of a classic conflict between love and friendship. This movie wins the sympathy of us with this plot. Of course, like fairy tales, this movie ends with happy ending.

Audience might think this movie is just suggestive and sassy, but it also has the world of fairy tale and touching story. Speaking as John, Ted is like a bad buddy. He kept pressing drug and sex on John, but the choice is in charge of his in the end. To tell the truth, we act immaturely not because we have a bad friend, but because we shift the responsibility to others, and suffer from a lack of confidence. As this movie, I take some time for self-examination. This movie isn’t merely funny, but it gives us an instructive way. So, I give this movie 8 of 10. ★★★★★★★★☆

    A long time ago, an attractive princess named snow white (lily Collins), she had an evil stepmother who was poison tongue again with snow queen (Julia Roberts).The queen not only jealous of Snow White's beauty, but also still obsessed with a handsome and charming prince, intended to drained his wealth and effort. But the queen didn't expect the white horse prince fall in love with the Snow White princess at the first sight.So the black heart queen banished Snow White to the dark forest which was very dangerous immediately.And white horse prince is due to the bad queen of love magic potion, and became her love captive.The Snow White who was banished to the dark forest Snow met a group of dwarves bandits unfortunately.After the training of the bandits, she became the leader of the seven dwarves mountain thief group！Snow White was thoroughly transformed and  the prince reunited her by accident and they fall in love again. Snow White was reconciled to be oppressed by the evil queen，and she set her heart on attrack the queen's fortress with little the dwarves and swore to regain power.Finally，with the help of the prince and the dwarves，brave princess regained power which was belong to her.
    Story overthrow the original film, with a comedy way  which is closely combines the classical fairy tales and modern elements. Snow White staged an "white and beauty tempered", she was no longer fragile and just waiting for the prince to save her， but under the training of the dwarf became a female warrior.The "older" queen was work hard to solve the financial difficulties,chasing the rich prince. Became a member of the "scramble for tall rich and handsome＂ trend.The evil queen in "Snow White" are considered the embodiment of evil.But the the queen which played by Julia Roberts in the mirror mirror of "Snow White" was very comic．She also became the rival of the Snow White, even use the magic potion to confuse the prince.And  the seven dwarves in the film also has a "day", they are flexible and intelligent. The successful reason of this movie is definitely worth using for reference. I'd like to give this movie 4 stars!

   'Notting Hill(1999)' is very famous movie for romance genre. The background of this movie is Notting Hill which is located in England. In the movie, they met in his book shop by chance. Then, their love stroy was strart. Julia Roverts is the famous movie star in this movie. Hugh Grant is just normal person who runs the small book shop.

  This movie has simple love story. However, most women always think about like this love story. when i watched this movie, it made my heart flutter. My favorite scene is the last scene of this movie. They were sitting on the bench. They were reading books. That park looks so greener. They looks so peaceful. When i watcehd that movie, i drew a picture of my future with my husband.

 Also I could think about the famous person's life. She doesn't have privite life. she has following reporters. If she was a normal person, it doesn't matter. She gets an honor but she loses her privite life. But  she found the real love. It's a good thing to her.

  After i watched this movie, i felt complicated feelings about love. Finding the real love is a really hard thing. How can i find it ? It makes me think about the love. The main character acted very well. They looks like a real couple. They were good at expressing the love. At the same time, I want to fall in love with gentleman who looks like Hugh Grant. I want to recommend this movie to girl who likes romance movie.

Pacific Rim(2013)

 
  Pacific rim is directed by Guillermo del Toro. Because I 
remember his movie 'Pan's labyrinth' was very exciting, I was really anticipate Pacific rim. This movie genre is science fiction. This movie's poster reminds me my robot toy.



 

   2025, at Japan's Pacific coast, large cracks occur in the deep sea. At this place, strange portal that connects the earth and the universe was opened, and huge alien monsters Kaiju appeared.

  This film's major plot is fighting between robots and monsters. Kaiju invades to earth, and destroy the entire world.  Humans can't fight the monsters by conventional military means, so humans creat giant robots-called jaegers- to against with giant monsters. Each country makes their own robot, so yeagers have respective traits.




















 





  At this movie, five of yeagers appeared. Basically this super robot is operated by two pilots' brain waves, so pilots should match their spilt, and share their memory. 

  By repeated fighting, human seem to win. However, kaiju is adapted to yeagers' skill, so they changed to bigger, stronger and increased. Because kaiju becomes more stronger, human faced with crisis, so they have to make unique strategy. You can see that strategy by watching 'Pacific Rim'! You will come up with your yougth robot animation. Because I like this kind of move, I want to give 4 stars. ★★★★☆

The Bourne Identity (2002)

Do you want to watch vivid action movie? I recommend the movie 'The Bourne Identity'.
It is the action movie which consists of intelligent equipment and also it is thriller genre.

It has PG-13, and it is directed by Doug Liman. Doug Liman is the one of the most famous thriller movie directors in America. He directed the movies such as Jumper, Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Likewise, this movie's story formed systematically. And the leading actor is Matt Damon who acted as genius boy in the movie 'Good Will Hunting'. However, he proposed to act actively and decided to act the action movie.

In this movie, he performs as a main character, and he is the special personnel. Jason Bourne(Matt Damon) forgot all of thing when he was belonged to the secret position. This movie shows that Jason Bourne makes an effort to remember the past. And the step which he strive to find his identities, may make you tense. Also 'The Bourne Identity' has numerous exciting action scenes with multiple CIA agents or other European intelligence agencies. Especially, chasing scenes between Jason Bourne and other agents is very interesting. In addition, there is a little romance scene. Because Jason Bourne has to do two things, such as finding his identities and protecting Marie, it is more interesting than any other movies.

In conclusion, I want to give 4.5 out of 5 stars to this movie.
If you feel like urgent, short but intensive love, you have to watch this movie!
And if you want to watch three series of these movies, you will watch 'The Bourne Identity' first.

          Mirror Mirror (2012), is an American romance, fantasy and comedy movie released in 2012. As one sees, this film is based on the fairy tale, Snow White which is one of the most famous fairy tale all around the world.

 

           The story is about a brave princess, Snow White and a jealous queen, Clementianna who is Snow White's stepmother. Also, a handsome prince, Alcott and seven dwarfs who helped Snow White appear in this movie. All the events in the story happened after the King had gone to the dark woods to fight with the darkness and disappeared. If one watches this film, he or she can know why I think Snow White is a brave princess.

          This movie is directed by Tarsem Singh and stars Lily Collins(the princess Snow White), Julia Roberts(the queen) and Armie Hammer(the prince Alcott).  At the first time I saw the title of this movie, I thought this movie would be the same old movie but the more I saw it, the more it was fascinating. I think it is because unlike my expectation, Snow White in this movie was adventurous and brave, although she was a princess. If girls watch this movie, I am sure that Snow White will be one of their role models in their lives. Moreover, Lily Collins who starred as Snow White was beautiful and had a white face so I thought she was perfect for Snow White. She was so attractive that I wanted her to be a famous actress after this movie was released.

 

 

          I would like to recommend people this movie because I believe it could make them engrossed with differences in the original fairy tale, Snow White. I want to give this movie ★★★★★.

The genre of this movie is a drama. Will Hunting is the main character who is a genius in mathematics. But as he hadn’t had some regular school education, he didn’t know he has the ability. He just led a rough sort of life like the common friends. While he had worked as a cleaner in MIT, he solved the problem which a professor set on board at aisle. Taking this opportunity, the professor recognized his ability and started supporting him to cultivate his talent. In this process, he met Sean who is a professor of psychology. This is the main happening. He tried to resolve Will’s internal problem and give an advice. He truly want to help him and Will accepted his true heart gradually. In this part, there are many touching scenes and lines.

I love Matt Damon who is the main character in this movie. I think he is a certified actor for a film’s accomplishment. He even wrote the scenario of this movie when he was an unknown actor. So I’m attached to this movie. It gave me lots of instructions and impression. In life, the existence of mentor is most important. Although someone has some ability, if they can’t use that, they will just live like anyone. I think that if you found a grateful mentor who knows you well, you already succeeded in a half. And this movie shows us how to open someone’s closed mind. To do that, we have to share “truth”. I want to recommend this movie to someone who has a problem difficult to tell other in his/her mind. If you watch this movie, I expect that you might be able to find some solutions. This movie must be helpful to everyone. My rate : 5/5

     If you are sick, How do you want to be treated by doctors? Is it about just pain and medicine? Patch Adams, who was thinking about patients’ feeling, got different ideas from normal doctors who see the patients just as the people who have only the physical problem. He thought it was the first thing to do to understand patients and make them excited. This is a real story of this weird doctor, whose name is “Patch Adams”.

     At first, he wanted to go psychiatric hospital. He lost his purpose of life. He wanted to kill himself. In the hospital, he met two awesome guys who change his life later. It was also impressed to me because there were many things I should learn. One was really crazy patient. He suffered from squirrel hallucination. He saw squirrels everywhere. His doctor forced him to stay in room and just use sedative. Patch thought he was weird, too. But staying with that patient, later “Patch” realized that he need to play with patients and listen to them. Another person who made me interesting was the super-smart and crazy old man. He messed up the hospital building and he was too noisy. He was a troublemaker. But one day, Patch visit his room and he got something. The crazy old man said. “You are focusing on the problem. If you focus on the problem, you can’t see the solution. Never focus on the problem. Look beyond it.” And the next day, he got out of the hospital.

Thanks to this squirrel man and the crazy smart old man, I learn several things. Actually it’s more about Patch. It’s about Patch’s attitude toward them. First, after he knew those guys are weird. He was still staying with them and didn’t run away. Rather, he talked more with them and figured out how to make them happy. I think I should try to have some endurance to people who I don’t like at first. Second, the crazy man’s word hit my mind. When I have some trouble, I’m thinking all day about it; and it makes me exhausted. Like crazy man’s word, I should look beyond it.

Though there were not many special effects, CG and great song, I think it was great. It was a real story about the doctor who treated his patient truly. It was a life like a movie not a movie like a life. So I want to give two thumbs up to this movie.

Gattaca(1997)

       Gattaca(1997) is a Science Fiction movie. It's about genes manipulation for people in the future. Although it is old movie, it doesn't seem like an old movie. Because, it is the most possible future that we will meet.

       The main character "Vincent" is one of the men who do not have dominant genes. The world that he was born was the genetic world. It means you can manipulate your genes to make a perfect baby. The background of this world is a future, and it also has a criterion that determines their status. For example, When you have not a dominance genes, you cannot be a scientist or employees in the company. The employers only look his or her blood to determine the status. Thus, the races are not important in these days.

       The movie main plots show the change of "Vincent". He couldn't be in Gattaca because of his blood, He uses other's name "Jerome Morrow" to be in Gattaca. It feels like real because in reality, scientists do the gene manipulation into animals and plants. It can be adapted to people in some days. And this movie wants to warn us that the world can be changed like this way.

       I think that this movie has many meaningful things. First, It can be a real future, so we have to recognize it seriously. It can determined by blood, we can't do anything without possible bloods. In addition, although we have enough ability to do our work, It can't be accepted when genetic-determination world begins. Finally, the illegal methods like "Vincent" did in movie will be broaden.

     In conclusion, I stronly recommend this movie. It is the science fiction movie, but when I saw this movie, when I was in high school, I thought it very carefully. Also, this movie can think my imagination of future too. Thus, I would like to give 5 stars for this movie.

LIFE OF PI (2013)

 

This movie was made by book ‘Life of Pi’. This book is a best steady seller. Because of unique and creative story. This is an adventure and drama movie. This movie is very good, but difficult too. Because It made me a lot of thinking. It was released in Korea on January, 2013. I read this book, and really wanted to watch this movie. So I had been expected before it is released.

 

 

This is a story about tiger and Pi. They had been in the small boat, until they rescued by someone. This story is so interesting. But end of the movie, we can aware that tiger is not real. It is not only surviving story on the sea.

It showed to me survival and hope. His all actions are for the survival. And he had to fight with himself for he doesn’t crazy.

Actually, this film based on the real story. There was a man who rescued from the wreck. He can survive by killing other people. This story is very surprised and shocked to me. I think, It is a very terrible story; on the other hand, I can understand him too. If he didn’t kill that he can’t survive too. did he wrong? I don’t know exactly.. But If I were, I can’t.

This movie has many good visual things too. And it makes movie more spectacle and concentrate on the movie. I was fascinated by the mysterious scenes in the movie. It is so beautiful.

 

This movie was very beautiful and thoughtful. If you watch this movie at first time, maybe you can't understand that story exactly. I want to watch this movie again. than I can find and see more, in the movie.  I’ll give 4.5 out of 5 to this movie.(★★★★☆)

Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008)

When I heard the Korean title of this movie at first, I was very surprised. Because, the title was “I like the wife of my man”. It comes from the plot, and it isn’t wrong. Vicky, a nationalist and Christina who is in an open relationship are best friends, and they travel to Barcelona. This story begins from there. In the romantic city they meet a born womanizer, Juan Antonio. He is a famous artist and has discovered his wife. He seduces Vicky and Christina at the same time. Unlike Vicky, Christina and Juan fall in love soon. Later, Vicky also falls in love with him, but she comes to America again for her wedding. And, like the Korean title of this movie, Christina has a relationship with the ex-wife of Juan Antonio. Then, she feels emptiness in the relationship, and she returns to her daily life. On the other hand, Vicky, who missed Juan Antonio, meets him again although she has husband. However, after Maria Elena, ex-wife of Juan Antonio, shoots a gun to her hand, she escapes from the adultery.

 I think this movie might win the sympathy with women of a certain age, because their lives don’t change after their short loves. I can’t see an increasing maturity with the characters after the happening. For example, Vicky noticed her own feeling, and she knows she will become Judy who is in a loveless marriage. Nevertheless she stays in marriage.

 I guess the director, Woody Allen intended that life doesn’t change, and we will repeat the same mistakes. As his reputation, the music and the wit of story are good. Especially, this movie has image beauty as I want to travel to Barcelona. It is a great movie. So, I’ll give 9 out of 10 to this movie.(★★★★★★★★★☆)

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon,2011

  "Transformers" This movie is a kinds of science fiction movies. It has PG-13. This movie is very famous for young men. I like the title of this movie. Because the title represents the story and features about this movie. So i can guess about this story.
 
  The main character 'Sam' has rescued the earth. He got the prize frome the president. But he is unemployed now. He thinks he is a hero and he has to do something big thing. That time his auto-robot friends are very busy because they are helping people's work. The problem was happened when they awaked Sentinel Prime who was the leader a long time ago. He betrayed the human. Then the War was start.

 I think this movie shows the technology development and the relationships between the human and robot. The prerequisite of this movie is the belief about the alien. Also i can watch the development of computer graphic. I feel the robot can be real but when i watched the movie 'Star Wars: Episode 1(1999)' , i didn't feel like that. In addition to the scene of fighting to robot looks like the fact. I think the kinds of that war is coming soon. I don't know exactly but i belive it. Because the development of technology is so fast . After 100 years, the human live with robots. Perhaps the auto-robots will be our friends.

 I can look about archetypes in this movie.The hero is Sam and the damsel in distress is his girl-friend. Absolutely, she was kidnapped by villain person. Also i can watch the wise old man who helped and believed Sam.

 During watching the movie, I wondering about how they act like real . It looks so great. The action scene looks fantastic. I just imagine about that situation is real, what should i do? Is it possible ?

Django Unchained

  Django Unchained is an American western film directed by Quentin Tarantino who is a distinctive and volatile talent American filmmaker. The story takes place in south of America 1858, two years before Civil War. A German dentist and bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz has “bought” a slave Django’ freedom from Speck Brothers who drive several male slaves to sell on somewhere of Texas, because Django is the only one of the slaves can recognize the Brittle Brothers, who are the people name on Schultz’s warrant. After Django assisted Schultz to kill the Brittle Brothers, Schultz finds that Django has the talent on shooting and Django has told Schultz that he wants to rescue his wife Broomhilda who has been sold to Mississippi, then Schultz decide to train Django as a bounty hunter like himself. However, when they disguised as slave buyer and try to buy Broomhilda from her owner Calvin Candie who is the landlord of Candyland and obsessed with slave boxing matches called "Mandingo fights”, their true intention has been seen through by Calvin’s foxy negro steward Stephen, and then Schultz who shot Calvin has been shot by Calvin’s guard. Django also has been put in chains and will be sold to a mine and worked to death, but he escapes from the chains by using his wisdom and bravery. In the end of the story, Django has killed all the white people in the Candyland include the Stephen and bomb the mansion before riding off with Broomhilda.

  For me, this is a wonderful movie, and I have to say that I am very enjoying the Quentin Tarantino style violence aesthetics which can shock my heart from the bottom. The characters in this movie all have their distinct personality, especially the Dr. King Schultz, the role who I love the most, he looks cruel but justicial inside and always insist his inmost principle, even if this will make him to pay his own life. The soundtracks are also the highlight in this movie, I have bought the CD after I saw the movie.

Therefore, I would like to give this movie five stars.

Monster University

Monster University

Maybe.. 2 weeks ago. I went to APIC club for meeting club member. 

They told me that we are having time to watch animation movie tonight. I don’t expect that this movie will be interesting. Frankly, I don’t like to watch animation. It is like kids. However, this movie changed my wrong think. I had a really funny time.

This movie is described about 2 characters campus life before joining monster Inc. 

Mike and Sullivan are freshmen of Monster University. 

Sullivan(blue monster) has native ability as scared monster. The other hand, Mike(green monster) has not good physical condition and voice. By some happenings, they, both were cut in Scare Subject by Hard Scrabble professor.

They can’t accept this situation, so they made a new team for winning scare game.

If they win this game, they can join the subject. But, if they lose the game, they must go out from Monster University forever.

They tried hard to get victory for their future. Sometimes, it looks so difficult to obtain win, but they solve it by themselves. So many times, they couldn't understand their life and each life pattern. But they tried to understand to each other. Finally, they become great teammate.

This movie broke my bias that animation is not funny and it is always for Kids. However, I had a good time and I really was interested during watching movie with my APIC friends. So, I really want to recommend this movie to people who think animation is always for Kids. I want to give 4 stars of maximum 5 stars.

Almost 10 years ago, I watched Monster Inc. it was not bad. That time was I am junior school student. I remember watching it with my friends at my home. During 10 years, Pixar made many animation films. Many critics are expected to watch it, because they want to check and see Pixar’s 3D technology and development. They said this film will be the most expectation movie in this year as part of Animation.

Trust me! You can feel time is too fast like arrows when you are watching it.
