I Am Sam(2001)

When I was joining the club where I have to talk and help disabled people, I was so sad because a blind man couldn't find bag which is in front of him. Although they were very active and didn't care about their inconvenience, I felt sorry for their misfortune.

The movie, 'I Am Sam' is also related to the disabled. It is close to drama genre.

You may think that drama genre is too banal, but it is not. Main story's characters are a father(Sean Penn) who has seven-year-old intelligence and his daughter Lucy(Dakota Fanning). In this movie, this movie shows 'a paternal love'. The step which Sam do all the things for his daughter is very touching.

 

In my case, you need to watch about three points.

First, the scene that Sam does his best for his daughter looks lovable each other.

And, the scene that Lucy make an effort to understand Sam's trouble.

Finally, the scene that Sam uses every exertion to overcome his mental barrier.

They are very effective way to watch 'I Am Sam'.

 

 

In this movie, I thought that Sean Penn is so believable that you forget that he doesn't actually have anything wrong with him.  He captures every emotion perfectly and instills all of that emotion in the audience. 

 

Finally, the film has a great message.

Love may not be all you need, but it's definitely one of the major prerequisites. I was so moved that I couldn't stop crying because of their lovely scenes! As for me, the actors are impressive and the movie really reminds me of my parents in Korea. I give 4.5 out of 5 stars to this movie. I recommend if you want to feel 'LOVE'.
