Love Me If You Dare

Capable or incapable? That is the question that is the basis of the movie I want to talk. The original name of the movie is "Jeux d'enfants". The title in English is: "Love Me If You Dare". This movie is a 2003 French film directed by Yann Samuell.

Shopie and Julien are two children with problems, but one day they meet and together began one game: capable or incapable?. Early they grow and they see that life can not always be a game with trials and challenges. Shopie and Julien laugh together in their lifes. They skip the rules with their games but also hurt each other. They fail to recognize that they are in love with each other. It could say that what strated as a childhood game between Sophie and Julien, over time has become a way of life.

It doesn't the typical love movie. I suppose that because it is French and the course of the argument goes to a different rhythm. It has a different way to talk about love, obsession and the pain that two persons can do, when one of the couple breaks the heart to other of the couple.

Another thing that catches my attention is the original soundtrack. The song "La Vie en Rose" permeates the movie and dominates much of the soundtrack.

I also love this movie by the way it tells the story of love. The movie may initially be simple because the main characters look like they are going to live the typical love story. But it is much simpler.  The life happens; the game is becoming more intense as the passion. And what I like about the movie is that every time you answer "I Dare” they are saying "I love you more than my life."
