‘Now
you see me’ is the words that magicians tell us. They say, “Now you see me, now
you don’t,” when they show us magic. This movie’s title comes from the words.
Like these words, this movie begins with the story of 4 magicians. At first,
they were obscure magicians. They worked at a street or a bar. They kept going
on like that, then after they received their own cards each other, and they
became 4 horsemen. -The Four Horsemen
usually refers to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who are the forces of
man's destruction as described in the Christian Bible in chapter six of the
Book of Revelation. Retrieved from Wikipedia- Like the characters in the old
story, they punished bad people step by step, and stole bad guy’s money with
magic by the one who we can’t see -We can know who he or she is in the end of
the movie-. This movie has a large scale as a Hollywood movie. With the lapse
of running time, the scale was getting enormous, and such incredible scenes -such
as invincible magicians and instant movement- reduce this movie’s truth. In
addition the movie didn’t show the rest of the love story between Daniel and
Henley, and I think the plot-structure is a little weak because it didn’t contain
enough explanation of the characters. For example, we can wonder about Shrike
and why he appeared for little time although his role was important in this
plot. So, I give this movie ★★★★☆, and I expect we can
see more stories and explanations in the sequel.
