The Great Gatsby

"New York, 1922. The tempo of the city had changed sharply. The buildings were higher, the parties were bigger, the morals were looser and the liquor was cheaper. The restlessness approached hysteria." Nick said. These words represent and herald the entire plot of this movie. And it might lead to and reflect the tragedy of Gatsby. Actually, the movie explains about the love and longing of Gatsby for daisy and the cobwebby phases of the times in 1920's lives coincidentally.
this movie tells pretentious society about an American history's fallibility in the 1920's. Daisy and Gatsby had been longing for each other when they met together. However, Gatsby's flames of material desire for wealth  and Daisy's changes of heart brought about tragedy. Even though Gatsby ended up meeting his lover thanks to Nick, He could not protect it. Nick had pity on Gatsby. However, there was no one who had that feeling except for Nick. Nick tried to understand him regardless of his faults which he commited to Daisy. So, he shut his eyes to a Daisy's fault which run over Myrtle, who had an affair with Tom whose wife is Daisy.
From my different point of view, there were rumors about Gatsby to have him become estranged from Daisy. a lot of money Gatsby had made was mystery. When he fell in love with Daisy at first, he could meet her by relying on his military uniform which could deceive his status. He leaved just for the purpose of making money. he had to deceive others into believing he was born rich. So, some rumors appeared, like coming from oxford university. When Tommy determine how Gatsby made money, Daisy was disappointed about his rage. She is indecisive and materialistic person, but realistic when it comes to the attitude toward Gatsby in spite of his victim.
