The Hunger Games

In the third week of the semester, the class of the movies, we saw "Scott Pilgrim vs the world" . Therefore, we treat the cinematic sub-genre that week was: adaptations. This sub-genre is one of my favorites. Here stand all Marvel movies (based on comics). Also the various Harry Potter movies and Twilight movies are famous in this genre. But in this case, I'm going to talk about an adaptation which his second film will be released in theaters on November 22: "The Hunger Games". The Hunger Games trilogy is a young-adult adventure and science fiction, which was written by Suzanne Collins. The trilogy consists of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay.

 I'm talking about the first movie. It is a science fiction, action and drama. It stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson. Katniss Everdeen is a 16 year old who lives with his mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of the old United States. Long ago the districts challenged the capital, Capitol, and lost the war. Part of the terms of surrender is that each district must send a boy and a girl to an annual televised event called The Hunger Games. The land and the rules of audience participation may vary from one edition of the Games to another, but there is one that does not change: either kill or die. I have written very slightly the history of film because I will not reveal any details about the end in case anyone has not seen it.
I've wanted to talk about this movie because I've seen this summer . I had already heard about this movie . But had not seen before because I thought that the movie was about the war. When I read the synopsis , I decided to see it . I was very surprised because it encompasses many values ​​: survival , friendship, love ( a factor that is also very important in these films ). Moreover, it is not the typical war movie. It is futuristic.
 Once I saw the movie , I decided to read all three books ( I only read it to me a week later ) . I could see that the adaptation was good : not invent many things, the small details were in the movie , ... In addition , the actors fit the description that appears in the book. Something interesting that I would like to say to the actors changed their appearance. For example , actress Jennifer Lawrence , in reality, is blonde and actor Josh Hutcherson is brown hair . Well in the movie is the opposite: they had to change the hair color.
And finally I recall that the second film , " The Hunger Games: Catching Fire " will be released in the cinema on November 22 . I hope you can see it !
